Hybrid Approach

Choreographic proposals

Our work is not defined by a single technique, or style. We fuse dance, acting, physical theater, and film techniques to produce art. Our cultural history also influences how we shape choreographies. Our artistic proposals have been described as performative events that take reality into a magical world.

workshops/teaching

NA2 DT has the experience to teach diverse populations in terms of ages, abilities, and capacities. This promotes the development of an individualized approach to dance. We fuse classical ballet and contemporary dance into a hybrid technique. Classical technique is focused on body control, posture, weight transfer, and strength. Improvisation, contact, progressions, and composition techniques serve to work on cardiovascular endurance, physical resistance, alignment, decision making, and group work. As teachers we promote the view of the mind as a powerful muscle that can be, and needs to be trained.
